Sometimes things happen to make you stop and take a closer look at the important things in life.
Today that happened to me.
On my way to work, with Peaches in the car, a deer ran straight into our car. It was right near our house on a four lane turnpike. We were only going about 30 mph and I'm so thankful for that because I think that's *one* reason that we're both perfectly fine.
The deer seemed to come out of no where and all of a sudden it ran straight into the driver's side door. It all happened so fast so it's hard to know for sure, but I think the impact caused it's rear to swing around and hit Peach's door right behind me. At the time I didn't know her door had been hit also - I thought it had only hit my door.
Anyway, as I said, we're both fine, but instances like this make me feel very grateful that it wasn't any worse than it was and that we both were okay, especially Peaches. I also feel very thankful today to have the car I have. I think that's a *second* reason we both are perfectly fine.
Most of all I am reminded of how blessed I am to have Peaches and Eric in my life. They mean everything to me. I am blessed to have all of my family and friends to share life with. I am thankful for all of the other blessing I have been given. I think the *third* and most important reason that we're both perfectly fine is because we had God's protection over us.
Some pics of the damage:
Kind of scary to think that Peaches was right behind that door.
Every panel was hit...front fender, both doors and rear fender...fabulous...
So thankful that this precious angel is A-OKAY!
